Tarana Burke & Joe Biden
On the first episode of “Sorry Not Sorry”, Tarana joins Alyssa to discuss the power of the “Me Too” movement, the importance of what happens after survivors say those words, and she shares the most rewarding part of the work she’s doing.
Following Alyssa’s conversation with Tarana, we hear from Vice President Joe Biden about his work with It’s On Us, which launched in 2014. The national movement to end sexual assault focuses on the importance of engaging everyone in the conversation to end sexual violence. VP Biden and Alyssa discuss the importance of Title IX, why men need to be included in the conversation, and more.
