Trans Rights are Human Rights: Charlotte Clymer

Charlotte Clymer is a transgender woman, army veteran, and activist who came out publicly on Twitter in 2017. She shares her story and weighs in on what’s happening to LGBTQ people in our country under the current administration and what we can do to help fight for change.

In 30 states, LGBTQ people are at risk of being fired, refused housing or denied services simply because of who they are. On this episode, Alyssa sits down with Charlotte to talk about her decision to come out publicly on Twitter, the Trump administration’s attack on transgender people, the dangerous and discriminatory transgender military ban, the Equality Act, and much more.
